For this purpose, the most important highlights along the route were systematically compiled and the existing infrastructure surveyed.<\/p>\n<p>These fundamentals are intended to help strengthen cross-border cooperation, develop joint approaches for the gentle use of the trail, and promote sustainable, future-oriented solutions for the region. The activities included, in particular, the documentation of relevant Points of Interest (POIs) along the E5, the evaluation and adjustment of the route, as well as the development of additional digital applications and information services.<\/p>\n<p>The cooperation of the project partners across state borders creates a clear added value and helps to establish culture, sustainability, and innovation as central components of regional development \u2013 with positive effects on the economy, social participation, and the local quality of life.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The project aims to further develop and enhance the E5 long-distance hiking trail in North and South Tyrol through digital measures with a focus on sustainability.
